Massachusetts hasn’t set a launch date for its online sports betting market. However, the state will launch in-person wagering on January 31. The Massachusetts Gaming Commission approved the date last Thursday.

On January 31, three casinos will open retail sportsbooks. They are the Plainridge Park Casino, MGM Springfield, and the Encore Boston Harbor.

After the Supreme Court knocked down the federal ban on sports betting in 2018, this debut was the quickest in history. Six months after the state’s August 1 legalization of sports betting, retailers will begin offering wagering options.
