Ukraine Wants Russia Out of Paris Olympics

The Paris Olympics will start next year, and preparations from nations across the world is underway. But aside from preparing delegations, Ukraine is also lobbying to have Russia excluded from participating in the Olympics. Gambling Interaction reports that Ukraine’s sports minister has reiterated their threat to boycott the games if both Russia and ally Belarus will compete. They also added that they will lobby for other countries to join their boycott.

The Olympics is one of the largest sports tournaments in the world, and is popular everywhere, even in online gambling in India. The Ukrainian sports minister Vadym Huttsait says that they cannot compromise on this, and cites the continuing attacks on the country, as well as the destruction of their sports facilities and deaths of their athletes.

There will be plans to lobby to disallow Russian and Belarusans from joining. The worst case scenario would be for Ukraine to boycott the games.
