After several weeks on Injured Reserve, the team announced they have activated defensive end DeMarvin Leal. Meanwhile, cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon is headed to IR. Leal returned to practice three weeks ago after spending four weeks on IR following knee surgery. He had a torn meniscus repaired and said there is no longer pain in his knee. Before the injury, Leal worked across the defensive line, recording nine tackles and three pass deflections.
Meanwhile, Witherspoon is finally shut down after playing just one game since Week 3. The cornerback suffered a hamstring injury in Cleveland and has practiced and played for one week since. He’ll have the ability to return for the postseason if the Steelers make a run.

Atlanta looks to bounce back from a loss when hosting Pittsburgh on Sunday. The Falcons are 5-7 and second in the NFC South, just a half-game behind first place Tampa Bay. Atlanta was defeated by the Washington Commanders 19-13 on Sunday. Atlanta gained 332 yards of total offense and allowed 314 yards of total offense. Atlanta QB Marcus Mariota passed for 174 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
Marcus Mariota has passed for 2,052 yards with 14 touchdowns and eight interceptions. The leading rusher is Tyler Allgeier with 552 yards and one touchdown, while the leading receiver is Olamide Zaccheaus with 465 yards and two touchdown receptions and Drake London has 438 yards and four touchdown receptions. On defense, linebacker Rashaan Evans is the leading tackler with 119. Atlanta has 17 quarterback sacks and 10 interceptions.
